A TRUE STORY OF COURAGE AND SURVIVAL: From the director Oliver Stone there comes another shocking movie, which shows the view of witnesses themselves. The "World Trade Center" stars Nicolas Cage and Michael Pena. This is the true story of John McLoughlin and Will Jemeno, the last two survivors found in the ruins of the WTC, after the 9/11 attack. Beneath the ruins both men talk about their lives and families, doubting they will ever see them again.

Director:

William Oliver Stone was born on 15th of September, 1946, in New York, USA. He shares the exact same birthday as his friend and star of some of his movies, Tommy Lee Jones. He is known as director of historical films on controversial subjects, such as Platoon, JFK, Nixon, The Doors, Salvador, and others...

He was educated at Yale and New York University Film School, where he was taught by Martin Scorsese. Eventually, after failing at Yale, he left for Vietnam, just a day before turning 21 years. He was assigned to the 2nd Platoon of Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Infantry Division, located near the Cambodian border. This experience will be the main element of his most famous movie, Platoon.

Cast:

Nicholas Kim Coppola

The son of university professor August Coppola (a brother of director Francis Ford Coppola) and dancer/choreographer Joy Vogelsang, changed his name early in his career, to Nicholas Cage. He got a role in his uncle's movie "Rumble Fish" (1983), followed by role in movie "Valley Girl" (1983), which was released first and launched his career.

Michael Pena

Michael Pena was raised in Chicago. His first role was in "To Sir With Love 2". Later he moved to Los Angeles and got roles in features like "Star Maps", "My Fellow Americans", "La Cucaracha", "Gone in Sixty Seconds"...
